Roadworks associated with the Stanton Renewal Project have resumed for 2018.
The west sidewalk at Byrne Road will be closed to the public until mid-July 2018. A detour has been set up through the temporary bypass road; please consult the attached map for access to and from the Frame Lake Trail. The trail remains open to the public and is marked with appropriate detour signage.
Phase One of the parking lot expansion will impact parking spot availability in the lower half of the lot until mid-July 2018 (see attached map for reference). Blasting will occur throughout the week, but will be contained within the fence line and will not disturb traffic entering or exiting the lot. Monitoring sensors are in place to ensure that vibration limits are not exceeded in the hospital facility. Regular services will continue at Stanton while this work occurs.
Staff is encouraged to carpool or bus whenever possible as parking availability changes frequently throughout the construction process. Visit https://www.yellowknife.ca/en/living-here/resources/Transit/Transit-Broc... for a list of bus routes and schedules.
Boreal Health Partnership staff continues to work closely with the City of Yellowknife and the Yellowknife Fire Department to ensure emergency access to the hospital is maintained. Please continue to obey all signage and redirections while roadwork is ongoing.
Thank you for your ongoing patience with the construction required for the Stanton Renewal Project, and for helping us keep patients informed. We will continue to build improvements with as little disruption to existing services as possible.
Regular road closure updates will be provided weekly.
