Roadworks associated with the Stanton Renewal Project have resumed for 2018.
Phase II of the parking lot expansion is underway, and public access is restricted to the Byrne Road or Range Lake Road entrances. Please observe all signage and refrain from parking in areas designated for construction (highlighted in blue on the map). 24-hour security has been hired to help direct cars to appropriate lots.
Blasting and paving will occur throughout the week, but will be contained within the fence line and will not disturb traffic entering or exiting the lot. Monitoring sensors are in place to ensure that vibration limits are not exceeded in the hospital facility. Regular services will continue at Stanton while this work occurs.
Staff is encouraged to carpool or bus whenever possible as parking availability changes frequently throughout the construction process. Visit https://www.yellowknife.ca/en/living-here/resources/Transit/Transit-Brochure---Feb-1-2017.pdf for a list of bus routes and schedules.
Boreal Health Partnership staff continues to work closely with the City of Yellowknife and the Yellowknife Fire Department to ensure emergency access to the hospital is maintained.
Thank you for your ongoing patience with the construction required for the Stanton Renewal Project, and for helping us keep patients informed. We will continue to build improvements with as little disruption to existing services as possible.
Regular road closure updates will be provided weekly.
