The new hospital is not open to the public until after opening day on May 26, 2019. Services are to be accessed at the current Stanton Territorial Hospital until this time.
Blue Emergency Assistance posts have been installed throughout the new parking lot, but will remain covered until closer to First Patient Day.
These Blue Emergency Assistance posts have been installed throughout the new parking lot, but will remain covered until closer to First Patient Day. These posts will communicate directly with security at the new hospital only, via intercom and video. They can be used by staff or patients needing assistance into the new hospital, and will be active 24/7 once uncovered.
Stanton Renewal will notify staff and public once they are active and ready for use.
Construction of a covered walkway will begin this weekend between the front entrance of the current hospital and the front entrance of the new one. This walkway will allow us to begin moving equipment and supplies safely into the new building, and will be our route for the patient move on May 26.
The current bus shelter will be temporarily moved to the left-hand side of the existing hospital from May 13 to 31. It is important to note that the walkway will prevent through traffic from travelling in front of the new hospital until May 31. Please continue to use the Byrne Road entrance to access the parking lot, and use Range Lake Road if you need to access the Emergency entrance.
